The "LAMP" stack is a collection of open-source software used together to host dynamic websites and web applications. This stack consists of four key components:
Linux: The operating system that provides a stable and secure foundation.
Apache: The web server that handles HTTP requests and serves web content.
MySQL: The database management system used to store and retrieve application data.
PHP: The server-side scripting language that processes dynamic content.
Project Overview
Linux Setup: Installed a Linux distribution (e.g., Ubuntu, CentOS) as the base operating system. Performed initial system configuration, including network settings and user management. Implemented security measures such as firewall configuration and regular updates.
Apache Web Server Configuration: Installed Apache HTTP Server and verified the installation. Configured virtual hosts to manage multiple websites on a single server. Set up .htaccess files to control URL redirection and access restrictions. Enabled and configured modules for performance enhancement (e.g., mod_rewrite, mod_ssl).
MySQL Database Management: Installed MySQL Server and performed initial security setup. Created and managed databases and user accounts with appropriate privileges. Implemented backup and restore procedures to ensure data integrity.
PHP Configuration: Installed PHP and integrated it with the Apache web server. Configured PHP settings in php.ini for optimal performance and security. Implemented error handling and logging mechanisms. Deployed PHP-based applications and ensured compatibility with Apache and MySQL.
Powered byd Optimization: Applied security best practices, including the use of SSL/TLS for encrypted communications. Configured file permissions and ownership to protect sensitive data. Automated routine tasks using shell scripts and cron jobs.
